we had east chalet ytd! thank God for yiqin and his team! realli had fun the whole day. thank God for the games comm =) realli great games you guys have planned out. and the videos was realli realli realli realli niceeee. thanks to the peeps for spending soooo much time for the video! haha brings back a whole lot of memories. i rmb the ancient photo we took for CG madness in 2nd RC! oh man.. new believer times. great haha! but now's even better! AMEN! =D
God really taught me on what patience is about during worship at night. wooah. im glad i blog haha, i can think back on what i've learnt and learn even more! praise God for internet! =P anyway, i had received a word from God about encouraging East to believe God for their group's goals, whether or not its impossible or whatsoever. BUT to ultimately to take the small step of faith to ask from God to remove the doubts! to increase our faith to our next level, never giving up til the very very last moment. basically the "practical" steps in addition to word God gave to jacq. however i think i hesitated too much on whether its from God or not. and when i was decided to go, yiqin went up and shared. then mag went up. and in between i felt a prompting to jus wait for "further instructions". and then dennis ended it with a prayer haha. =P doing God's work should afterall be according to His timing and not our own.
patience. is doing things according to God's timing. theres a time for everything. something that i read alot in ecclesiastes. u would noe what i mean if you read ecclesiastes. you'll see things like, theres a time to angry, time to be happy. or smth lidat and lots of stuff. at first i didnt understand this point. but as im bloggin right now, God reveals haha! thank you God!=)
like dennis loh i dont go for things that are boring. walking with God is freeeeakin exciting! look at my previous posts and you would noe what i mean. lost wallets etc! miracles are normal in the kingdom of God! adventures that are not for the weak-minded and faithless. if you wan to see how normal miracles are. you definitely have to know God and try going through life with God yourself.
God GROW MY FAITH! i want to have the faith to believe in You til the very last min, last second. the goals that You have led us to may seem impossible, but i will have the faith that makes the impossible possible. God, be my guide on my adventure with You. thanks God. AMEN! lets go EAST! lets go ED!

after many exchanges of christmas greetings. we should never forget the main reason Christmas exists. not because people want to get gifts, not because of the cards either. but because Jesus was born!
this is the 3rd time im celebrating Jesus' birthday. so many tings have changed. what can i say. without realising it, my life was changed so greatly. my family was changed so greatly. my life has been basically turned upside down by God. from the lousiest to the best. the upside down thingy is a gd ting jus incase ppl dun notice! =x from a life that is realli not the best that i can have to the best i can have. that is Your best present for me. for us.(tho i wudnt mind other gifts =P. maybe a dinosaur as a pet in heaven? heh heh heh =D)
Lord be with as i walk the rest of my life with You. i am definitely going to see so much more changes in my life and i will never get enough of it! haha. one thing for sure, i want to see so much more souls coming into Your kingdom as i use my gifts for You. God increase our love, not just the numbers. Make us warriors of Yours as we go all out for You. i pray all this in Your name. amen.

never boring holidays. part 2
Saturday[22/12/07] we had our Christmas service!! the drama was nice. i like the part whereby there were life-testimonies on the flip board. cos i noe my own flip-board and how God slowly changed me for 2years+. and praise God!! and we have one more new brother joining us! think the sermon had something like if we take even a small step of faith out, we could do alot! amen!
we went to sentosa for our xmas party nx! however! on the way der there were several wrong directions hahaha! in the end we were super late in reaching the interchange that has buses going to sentosa de! but thank God for the amazing invention of signboards haha! we managed to get there. cher and esther teo saw us and tagged along with us and got lost tgt with us as well hahahahaha! oh well. we got der in 1 piece. thats what matters most haha. xmas party was fun! song presentations etc etc. haha we took quite a few photos but i dun have them nw so hahaha. but all in all saturday was definitely fun! at least better than rotting at home lol.
Monday[24/12/07] went to follow up william tgt with prana at tm's foodcourt. thank God some of his uncertainties are cleared. =D and i tink we were realli bo liao haha, we walked and talked for a long time. mainly because we dun have anything to do. but i tink it was still ok since we had some common interests like watching animes haha.
after that a few of us met up and watched alvin and chipmunks! HAHAHAHA! its super funny and cute lol. hmm normally i wun watch shows that dun nid sound effects or whatsoever effects they have. but i tink i wudnt mind watching it again in cinemas hahaha. if i have xtra money that is =x it was realli nice =P think we had some gd fellowships past few days! and tts what a cg is for. another name for a caregroup would be. a group of friends! i noe what's the kind of group im going to build now. im going to build a group of people that defies all world's logic. woo! aites cya!

never boring holidays. part 1
Thursday[20/12/07] had work in the morning but i forgot what i learnt during my work HAHA! =x mainly cos i din post it asap =x
and we had our combined ED MCG! this is definitely one of the most memorable MCGs i had! thank God for all those who were there! without everyone present there the MCG couldnt have been a success! by the looks of it. ED is definitely on the right track to being the super fun group that everyone sees and yearns to join =P
we had alot of different sports there. bball, soccer, volleyball/ captains ball. haha i bet all of the sports were fun! but our main highlight of the day! WAR! haha those who went for our MCG wud definitely remember this even if they forgot what they did for the rest of the day. din manage to take pictures tho haha if im not wrong =x awww. the event wud be perfect with gd pictures taken for memories' sake. haha. well yeah thats bout it.
we din hit our goal for that day! BUT!!! the night before i was counting the no. of attendance on my msn personal nick if some of u have seen it. our confirmed attendance was 21!!!!! thank God for it! tho there were ppl who las min din come, but i pray they come for our nx event so they wud enjoy it as well! sooner or later our events are gonna be sub-district size then district size! ED will GROW!! amen!
Friday[21/12/07] had my last day of work! YAY! but im supposed to wake up at 5am! booooooo. cos my work start frm 6am lol. til 3pm! k lah but work on that day wasnt as tiring compared to past few days i tink lol. tho working hrs increased by 3 hrs =x i learnt that setting the culture right from the start of the group is freaking important. cos i was ushering the parents coming down from the orientation to queue correctly.

the above is a diagram of hw the bookshop's queue is. if i wasnt der u notice ppl could jus cut the queue from the start? instead of going the looonnng route before they can buy their stuffs? thats right, at first i "missed" one parent and then she was preparing to queue in from the start instead of going the long way. situation is critical! because other parents are going to come down soon! and if tt happens while the lady is queueing at the start im goin to have big trouble lol.
but thank God before that happened i manage to ask the lady to queue in the line nicely. and right after that the other parents came down to queue. and all of them slowly queued in nicely. thank God ! hahaha. same to how a grp works. have a wrong culture in it and everyone that joins in the group would follow after the wrong culture since everyone in doing it. scaryyyyy. lol.
i also learnt on how to speak to people about where they have gone wrong. cos of the bookshop auntie lol. because she keeps magnifying every single thing i have done wrong and i don't think she's affirmed me or given me any praise at all throughout the 5 days other than telling me wer i've gone wrong. and that is when she doesnt tell me what to do or how im supposed to do it then i do wrong de. haha. definitely felt sucky. so yeahh. im gonna do my best so that this situation doesnt happen with me to others.
after work i went down to join the rest at interchange. we gathered quite a few contacts and we went to have our dinner and debrief for the whole day. and off we go home! to do confirmations! tho we din hit our goal, but i thank God we had contacts that were willing to come down but they had things on! those contacts were those who attended our MCG! realli realli thank God for making our MCG succesful!

promises
went to work in the morning. we onli packed for awhile cos left abit onli. wasnt as tiring but we had other work to do as well like packing up the classroom we used, which was quite alot of work as well bt nt as strenous as packing haha.
for past few afternoons i was the one tt kindly volunteered to buy lunch back for them with the bookshop auntie's money of cos haha. but i was kinda tired then i was thinking maybe today to let someone else have the honour of serving. then God reminded me of like even when i was serving, the reason why i serve should be clear. the reason why i helped to buy lunch at first was because i cant stand it when i dun see things moving haha. esp like bein asked to go out buy lunch, normally ppl are alot more hesitant to do so thats why i volunteered. =x bt in the end i still bought lunch back for them haha, the auntie was like looking at me. i knew she was expecting me to go out and buy lunch LOL. so i kindly accepted that honour of buying lunch.
what i should have felt is that if no one is going to serve then i'll do it. but not with the heart of impatience! hahaha. alrites... grow in patience eh? haha.
the work ended realli late. it ended arnd 4pm+. i went down to find my cg, they were there since 2pm+ gathering contacts. thank God for u guys! and i joined in the search of souls. oh yah! joseph came down as well! yeah! 1st time he came down to gather contacts, bet he had a different experience from asking other ppl to do surveys haha. actualli he told me that himself =x
oh oh, and i'll share brendon's story here. remember in my previous post on monday brendon only had 1 contact after persevering? today God honoured his perseverance and he got 9 contacts!! its God's promises to us, that when we give our best and don't give up. He will definitely bless us with fruitfulness! of course the rest of our grp gave their best and God has realli blessed them with alot of contacts and good ones. we had a total of 48 contacts gathered!
i'll skip the middle part but almost at the end of our gathering contacts at 6pm(cos we are fasting frm 12pm to 6pm), i was paired up with brendon. and we were like ok! 7mins left! lets realli chiong and search for our last few contacts. then we saw this guy alighting from the bus stop and parting ways with his friend. we looked at each other then we were like, lets go! hahaha! then we ran after that guy, caught up with him and just talked to him. thank God we did not turn away and pretended we saw nothing! he was a realli responsive contact! and he's free on the days we have events! like tmr! we are having our combined MCG which is a really cool one haha! i'll talk more bout it tmr nite. and he's most likely able to come down for service on sat! praise God!
then we had our dinner and went home to do our confirmations for our MCG! everyone of us were really chionging all the contacts we have! i saw my brother taking out his book and calling up one by one, newell and prana kept asking their friends and persevered tho at first they did not have any friends coming down yet. and i started to collate for our grp the no. of people we are having for tmr's MCG including our own people. we started out with 8 of our people, then news came in brendon has 2 visitors! then i had 1 visitor as well! thats 11people, then yiqin had 3 visitors(his cousins!) and so it went up to 14. then my brother had 1 visitor! and its 15 now. and der was more haha! it went up all the way to 19! i think we'll break 20! cos we have quite a few visitors that wants to come but feels paiseh. yeah man! 20 and beyond! great job guys! thank God for all the confirmed visitors as well! God, i pray that they would enjoy tmr's MCG and at the same time a softened heart! amen!

exciting adventures! part 2
Tuesday today i went for work again. but this time i rmb what God spoke to me about haha! k let talk bout what i did during work. we were basically packing a few books into 1 plastic. its called a "combo" package i tink.
one packet will be 1 blue plastic bag. it may look realli light. bt its nt as light as it seems afterall it contains a few books inside it.
and after packing 96 of them, me and another 2 co-workers we were like YAY!! until one of them asks about 2 stacks of book. why there were onli 3 books left instead of 4. and me working der for the first time i tot, if we jus reported a loss it would be ok. but its not! argh! we have to check through all 96 packets for that 2 missing books! its quite sian to recheck even once. but we still did it anyway and was jking what if the missing books are in the last few plastic bags. and indeed! one of the books were der! however the other went MIA. we told the bookshop auntie we couldnt find it, but all she could say was. then where did tt book go? [i jus say i duno] and her nx ans would be u have to find it out no matter what.
we checked through 96 packets for 4 times in total. it means we have to unload and load the plastic bags twice which is freaking tiring. in the end we've gt no choice bt to jus give it up cos its no longer possible its in der.
God spoke to me while we were checking for the first time. as i tot there wudnt be any mistakes since we have one of us checking the plastic bags before the other puts it in the plastic bag. so when we were searching halfway, i asked if we should give up as i tink its most likely the stock was miscounted.
my situation is like the parable of... the lost book? in NAV[New Aloy Version] one of the verses in it goes smth like that. "Would not one search through all the 96 plastic bags again and again so that the last book can be found? And when the lost book is found, the man told two of his co-workers "Rejoice! For I have found the last book!" "
jus joking.. haha. but when i realise that we have to find the book no matter what i realli gave my best in finding it and when we found it we were realli happy haha.
God also taught me another lesson which was a carry on from what i learnt from QT on monday night. which is that we can say we have done our best in serving God when we haven't worked well in a team. because in a team things are definitely done much faster and better. which is definitely better than our best if teamwork is good. and so after lunch we packed the last 54 packets as we need 150 of it. but this time we worked much faster because of better teamwork.
so in order to taste victory to its fullest, we not only have to serve God to our best. but serve God together with others to the best!
after working i went to join the rest at joseph's hse. we baked cookies! its edible and good looking!
these are some of the cookies i shaped. the darkest looking cookie. its supposed to look like a blade in bleach.

i made a worm and a cross cookie as well. as for the worm cookie, i think i ate it before i could rmb to take photos. =x for the cross cookie one of the sides broke. it became quite inproportional. u can find it in the last picture. there were "shit-shaped" cookies, and many other types. like the "earth" cookie. hahaha. interesting and fun haha.
we watched several movies as we ate the cookies. but the ultimate and nicest movie of today was "300! ". that movie is good! for me at least, i like this type of war and tactics movie.
we had fun with not only shaping cookies and watching movie. but also the toddler that was in the hse! haha.
and all in all this is my today.
East D1 will be the group to show what it means to have a God of impossibilities! lets go!

exciting adventures! part 1
before i lose the momentum to blog again.
Monday started my first day of work at junyuan bookshop haha. the pay isnt exactly good, but im jus working so my dad wun keep complaining im doin anything "useful" according to his dictionary. and i dun have any other jobs so i dun have an excuse to not work. the work we do der quite ok lah. now is just unpacking stuffs and arranging stuffs. but even so i expected God to speak to me while i work. but i cant seem to recall it now! ARGH! but overall thank God since i met 2 other brothers in Christ while working. i almost wanted to invite them for Christmas service! haha.
after that i went down to the interchange and we started to gather contacts. and der was this 2 guys which are relatives walked past 2 of the brothers, but they were reluctant to go forth and ask. so i gave them alot of "what ifs". what if this is the only chance they will get in touch with Chrisianity or if this was the chance they were waiting for to know God etc. and so they decided to go, but by then the 2 guys is already out of sight and nowhere to be found.
so i was walking to the other side of the interchange frm small mac. then i saw the 2 guy waiting for bus! so i quickly approached them, managed to strike a gd conversation and i heard the smaller cousin's name, David. i was like hmm.. maybe is frm Christian family so i jus asked if they were Christians. they nodded. then i introduced myself that i was frm y-hope and asked which church they belonged to. and they said they belonged to NONE!! carrying on after that sentence the older cousin said they jus visited any lighthouse services available. after hearing it, i was like YEAH!!! in my heart i was thinking, u can start belonging to y-hope haha! responsive heart with no churches. wad could be better?[however i cant contact them nw, nvm there will be a chance somehow]
i was realli glad that i approached and there, we should never allow ourselves to rob others of their blessing to know Christ.
and the whole time we evaxed were at times whereby there isnt much ppl but i gt arnd 5 contacts and they were all responsive! praise God! but also at the same time, i wasnt the onli one goin all out! in fact the whole east D was goin all out! no wait, i correct myself! all of the East is going all out!! was realli encouraged to see such a sight, a sight of ppl chasing after people upon seeing them. and also people persevering on tho being rejected again and again. this is East! jiayou people!
and then at nite we went to eat long john silver. after we ate yiqin spoke to us and also challenged us. we affirmed one another for the efforts put in. then i also shared bout somethings to them. which was what God spoke to me during my previous night's QT. which is that we will never experience the fullness of joy and happiness until we serve God with ALL our best. and i used brendon as an example as he was one of those that got rejected quite badly but persevered. and when he finally got one contact he was like YEAH!! when we give our best, God will definitely move and thats the time where we experience victory, joy and happiness in full! and also linked it to how important QT is and hw glad i decided to do QT instead of slpin cos it was getting late. and also challenged them to invite for both our mcg and service.i also reminded them of this prayer we made on saturday during service. "God we pray that every single contact we approach on monday will be responsive. Although its sounds really impossible, but You are the God of impossibilities! So we entrust everything and commit it into Your hand. Amen" And God indeed is a faithful God! the 5 contacts i got, they are all responsive! and 4 of which may be coming down for service! praise God! as long as we do our best, God will definitely take care and do the rest!
as i walked home, i noe. God was the one who spoke. God is definitely a faithful God ! amen!
because most of us have never tried giving our best for God, we don't know what it feels like. that is why we do not dare to try as it may be too difficult or tiring we think. BUT this is what we call the first step! try giving ur best for God and when u taste the victory God gives. u will noe how great it feels like to be victorious for God. lets give our best!

weee! 5th post
this is the 5th post i've made today hahaha! i shall finalli share bout what happen today after backtracking so much.
today me and star met up to plan our East D MCG on wednesday! we had our breakfast at brendon's hse nearby round market. the carrot cake was good. shiokkk.
we planned the whole event at my house after eating. man.. when we planned finished, i felt so satisfied!! it was a realli detailed one! im looking forward to our MCG! our goal! 40! YEAH!! lets go!!! i pray that there wouldnt be any rain on that day! today's planning was fruitful! thank God for the ideas He gave us in our planning!
yeah thats the main highlight of my day today. and of cos sitting down to blog for than 2 hrs i think. woah haha. din notice it took so long. thank God i've regained my voice and also for my mum that helps me make cough syrup drink instead of just asking me how i was. realli appreciate that alot! thanks! bt i tink she wudnt be seeing this, so i thanked her already haha.
thank God also for the nights that He has given me to sleep well. when i tried to sleep on the bus while going home, i was so embarassd haha.. cos i kept coughing throughout the bus trip i tink i was realli noisy and i couldnt get to slp either. praise God! i pray that everyone that is down with cough or some other sickness as well that you would recover! amen!

CAMP!!
x29 camp! 9-12 dec! we had our x29 camp! unfortunately i dun have alot of photos this time round. but tis time round my life and i believe alot of others' lives been changed greatly!
firstly... our very own East D1 floorball stick! we were suppose to make floorball sticks on our own for the games during the camp i love it! but MAN!! we left it all in SSS!! or did anyone bring it back? please tell me hahaha!
our bus trip to Singapore Sports School! once again. the upper deck of the bus is flooded by east people! haha! SBS earns alot of money from us this day.
and this is the upper deck of SSS's hall. the place where those who are not playing watch and cheers for those playing!
Some of the matches!
man! i rmb the match that the guys played in captain's ball. it was realli a great match tho it was a draw! we were like losing super badly at the beginning, it was like a match between david and goliaths haha! us being david. and opponents goliaths. BUT! we din give up. we jus kept playing encouraging each other to not give up. and when we went out of the hall, we thought we had lost cos we realli lost in quite a huge diff of scores at the beginning. smth like 5-1 i tink. however when the announcements came out. it was a draw! WE WERE LIKE YEAH! to us it was like victory! tho it wasnt like very well played in teamwork at first. but we slowly caught up and got our momentum! and with that momentum we caught up! great job guys!
My objectives of Camp - To renew my passion and desire for God's presence to be in my life - To have a breakthrough in patience and self-control - To know God's direction for me currently
throughout the camp i wasnt der in the morning frm the 2nd day onwards. as the poly peeps had exams.
Sunday the 1st night of teaching was really powerful. a simple question asked by God, so am i for God or not. it realli blew me off and tt was the night of recommitment and focus. throughout the teaching and worship God spoke to me greatly about what i needed to do to have Him back in my life. and i decided to have control over a few things in my life rather then letting have control over me. and so on the 1st day my 1st objectives(as i recommit, i definitely grew in passion and desire for God'spresence to be in my life) and half of the second objectives was met(self-control part).
Monday the 2nd night was pastor jeff's teaching about why Christians are to be victorious. we learnt the various reasons about why we should be victorious, God was preparing my heart durin the teaching. and when we worshipped, God simply spoke of certain perspectives tat i had which is not exactly the right ones and that i need to break out of it. and that night, i was reminded of how able God is. that even if im not able, i dun nid to worry cos i have a super God!!=) and i took up the challenge of going all out to search for souls, build them up and lead a grp of men thats word-centered and God-centered! and that would be God's direction for me nw.
Tuesday the 3rd day, in the afternoon there were workshops! and i was in project runaway! hahaha. so basically its about organizing and managing unit and district events. learnt how to plan out events which was realli useful! thank God for cheng and rui yong who were our instructors for the workshop! and in the night, we had our service!! these are our hosts for the night!
we had a realli great time of travelling back in our history. and i definitely love the East family! yeah! i mean who wouldnt! hahaha! and of course other than us loving our East family, we love our leader of our family, Dennis loh!! jiayou dennis! and as you serve God, we will serve and support you all the way!
that night was a night of joy! because we realli praise God and worshipped God like nobody's business! this is the way it should be ! the normal Christian life.
throughout the camp, i was totally changed. mental,physical and spiritual. why physical too? cos i lost my voice during the camp haha! tgt with a veri bad cough. =x God healed me tho!
Wednesday and on the last day tho some of us werent der to take photos cos we had exams.
God i thank you for the many steps You've taken towards me, the many acts of love You've done for me. and now its my turn to reciprocate and do my best in investing all of what i have into Your kingdom!
EAST D1 24! HERE WE COME! if doubling is impossible. then thats the perfect task for us, since our God is the God of impossibilities! faith with deeds is alive!

Mugging times!
the wk after our east training camp! we were 1 wk away from our term tests! and so we gathered to study ! so we won't be rushing in our studies during the camp. haha. bt i think it only helped out abit for me i feel. in the end i still had to rush abit during the camp.
some things we did during our last few days of studying in tp engineering school
yanyu and gock playing with the OHP's light[ is it ohp? i tink it is. the machine that uses transparency de. older version]
and also some traps we made haha! yanyu purposely brought gock to the toilet then we made the trap while they were out. putting slippers haha and waiting for it to drop! this is realli crazy hahaha! but fun tho. it was supposed to drop on her head. but it failed as u can see haha. =x
we also watched this japanese show called "Gaki no Tsukai" during our studies. its basically a show that has 3 actors in it. and they wud be brought to different places and there will be people making them laugh throughout the show. HOWEVER!! they are not supposed to laugh tho, they would be whacked if they did haha. we watched the episode where they were at the spring inn.
shikoku! shikoku! hahahaha! stupidddd. yep we nv fail to have fun anywer haha! i guess thats East for u ! =P
